Maura Farrell

Maura is a Managing Director at Kivvit, a public affairs and communications firm headquartered in Chicago.

Maura has spent over 25 years working in communications, helping clients tell their stories through traditional and digital media channels. Maura specializes in media relations, executive speaking, and corporate social responsibility. She has authored media strategy, community outreach, and public relations campaign plans for a wide range of clients, helped numerous C-suite leaders successfully navigate crises, and trained countless individuals on how to effectively communicate their message through the media.

Maura began her career as a TV journalist running the assignment desk at FOX-32 and CBS-2 in Chicago. She then worked at Hill & Knowlton as a managing director and media trainer before starting her own PR firm specializing in litigation marketing. After a successful decade managing her own firm, Maura sold the firm to Kivvit in 2014 and joined the team as managing director. 

Maura is passionate about mentorship and helping the next generation of women in communications. She serves on the Leadership Council of the Marquette University Mentors program and is a member of the Executive Board of Regina Dominican High School.
