Jonathan Larbi (AA ’24)
My name is Jonathan Larbi (AA ’24). I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.
- Major: AA in Liberal Arts, Pre-STEM
- High School: Mount Carmel High school
- Involvements: Arrupe Admission Office worker, Black Student Union, Black Men of Success, and Orientation leader.
How I chose my degree:
I selected my degree because it puts me on a path that is connected to medicine.
My plans after graduation:
I will be continuing at Loyola University Chicago.
Professor a new student should absolutely take a class with:
I think students should take Professor Matthew Amyx's Western Civics class. The class is honestly interesting and the professor's passion for the material he's teaching makes it 10 times more interesting.
Class I never expected to love:
Calculus I. I dislike math with every fiber in my body, but Professor Flahive's consistent badgering on understanding the material being though made life a little easier.
Favorite spot on campus:
Arrupe's admissions office. The people in the office are always cheerful and welcoming.
What advice do you have for the incoming class?
Create a balance between your academic and social life in-order to really enjoy college.
